Editorial Note

Praise be, the publication of Vol. 3 No. 2 July 2025 can be published on time to greet our esteemed readers. There are six articles encompassing diverse themes. The first article by Dinda Prama Suari and Rina Arum Prastyanti titled “Dynamics of Copyright Protection In The Era Of Globalization: A Comparative Study Of International Law”. This research is a normative legal study with a comparative approach to the legal systems in developed and developing countries. The issue of copyright protection systems in the era of globalization and digital technological advancement faces increasingly complex challenges. The research findings indicate that developing countries like Indonesia still encounter obstacles in the implementation of copyright protection, ranging from weak digital law enforcement to low public awareness.

The second article discusses the dynamics of discourse, motivations, and Indonesia's decision to join BRICS. The article, authored by Firman Prima Laras, is titled “Between Power And Cooperation: A Realism-Liberalism Study Of Indonesia's BRICS Membership In A Multipolar World.” Using the lenses of realism and liberalism in international relations, the research findings indicate that Indonesia combines realist and liberal approaches in considering BRICS membership: realist power calculations are manifested through the diversification of strategic partners, while liberal aspirations are reflected in the commitment to strengthening South-South cooperation. Indonesia's decision to join BRICS reflects strategic caution in weighing economic-political benefits while maintaining the principle of an "active non-aligned" foreign policy.

Next is the third article by Ika Sri Hastuti, Shylvia Windary, and Muhammad Fahmi Mukti titled “Energy Diplomacy and Global Collaboration: INDODEPP's Role in Facilitating Indonesia's Energy Transition.” In the context of bilateral cooperation in renewable energy, this study explains the implementation and obstacles in its execution. The research findings indicate several factors that hinder the implementation of INDODEPP, such as the mismatch between national and local policies, limited institutional and technical capacity at the local level, and issues in coordination among stakeholders.

Khizer Hayat authored the fourth essay, "Strategic Education Policy and Digital Leadership in Conflict Zones: A Multiregional Synthesis." This study synthesizes global experiences concerning the education system's response to disruptions, political violence, infrastructural destruction, and digital inequality. We can develop inclusive and trauma-informed policy models and interventions using varied blended learning methodologies, utilizing case studies from Jordan, Colombia, Bangladesh, Gaza, and Ukraine. These findings underscore the limitations of digital tools in unstable environments marked by connectivity problems, content bias, and a lack of control.

The fifth piece, authored by Pratondo Ario Seno Sudiro, is titled "Implications of Threats in the North Natuna Sea Following the Joint Statement Between the Republic of Indonesia and the People's Republic of China." The research findings indicate that the Joint Statement between the two nations may reduce hazards in the North Natuna Sea, offering as a model for other countries in the South China Sea region. The latest article, titled "From Kitchen to Diplomacy: Korean Cuisine as Soft Power," was written by Gadis Hilmi Nabiilah Rose, Alia Rahmatulummah, and Siti Mardanita. This research examines gastrodiplomacy and demonstrates how the synergy between Korean cuisine and digital media creates a vibrant cross-cultural environment where emotional connections are established through shared experiences. In this context, food transcends being merely a consumable item; it also serves as a narrative tool that expresses values, traditions, and identity.
